Due to the land scandal in Vyatskiye Polyany, the city authorities are awaiting an inspection.
At a government meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov spoke about the problem in Vyatskie Polyany. According to him, several years ago, local residents from privileged categories were provided land for housing construction, but there were neither roads nor any infrastructure. The matter went to court, which ordered that people be provided with land plots with infrastructure.
Minister of Property Relations Tatyana Polomskikh noted that the authorities found a solution — they either provide compensation in exchange for unsuitable plots for living or offer plots in the village of Matveyevo, where the conditions are better; they just need to establish water supply and a road. Half of the citizens took advantage of the compensation, and work with the others continues.
Sokolov criticized the work of the head of Vyatskie Polyany, Nikolai Bushuev, to whom he had given the task of solving the problem back in 2024. He expressed the opinion that Bushuev was not handling his duties well and instructed the chairman of the government, Mikhail Sandalov, to organize an inspection in Vyatskie Polyany by June 12 regarding the execution of assignments and state programs.
The work of the head and the administration as a whole will also be reviewed by the government commission. The governor urged Bushuev to complete all assignments and roadmaps in the near future.
