At the meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov reported that the water level in the rivers of the Kirov region is decreasing. Over the course of a day, on May 11, the level dropped by an average of 10-20 centimeters, and in some places (for example, on the Cheptsa River) — by 60 centimeters.
Currently, seven sections of roads in Kirov, Kotelnich, Soviet, and Vyatskopolyansky districts remain flooded. The same applies to 65 adjacent territories.
Sokolov instructed local authorities not to delay the installation of temporary bridges after the water recedes.
