The most dangerous industries for workers in the Kirov region have been named.
According to the deputy head of the State Labor Inspection of the region, Alexey Loginov, compared to 2024, the number of workers who died or suffered serious injuries at work has increased in the area. Most often, accidents occur in the manufacturing sector, which accounts for about 40% of serious and fatal incidents. The most hazardous industries also include agriculture, forestry, and construction. Among the main causes of occupational injuries, specialists cite violations of technological processes, equipment malfunctions and insufficient reliability, as well as violations of traffic rules. The most common types of injuries in 2025 were falls from heights, which accounted for 37% of serious and fatal cases. Additionally, workers sustain injuries due to the impact of moving machinery and parts, transportation accidents, as well as the collapse of objects and materials. The Labor Inspection noted that there are at least two enterprises in the region where several serious and fatal accidents occurred in 2025. Employers were reminded of the possibility to independently check compliance with labor protection requirements through the federal service Onlininspection.rf, which provides special checklists and recommendations.
