Boris Vesnin: the opportunity to personally congratulate veterans is a special honor.

      In the run-up to Victory Day, congratulations and concerts for participants of the Great Patriotic War have been organized on the initiative of the United Russia party. The concerts take place right in the courtyards where the veterans live — artists perform songs from the war years and beloved melodies of youth. Boris Vesnin presented gifts from State Duma deputy Rahim Azimov to the veterans, who annually congratulates all participants of the Great Patriotic War in the Kirov region.

      This year, resident of besieged Leningrad, Ekaterina Alexandrovna Lozhenitsyna, turns 100 years old. During the war, her family was evacuated from the besieged city, and after the Victory, she moved to Kirov, where she worked for many years at a shoe factory and the LEPSE plant. Despite her age, Ekaterina Alexandrovna maintains her spirit and love for life.

      — Today I was expecting guests, I was nervous, even though I know that I am constantly being congratulated. Thank you, I am very happy! May God grant you all health! — Ekaterina Lozhenitsyna expressed her gratitude.

      Boris Vesnin also congratulated Alexander Ivanovich Bekhterev, who participated in the fight against bandit formations in the Baltics and dedicated his post-war years to the labor and development of his native Orichevsky district.

      "The opportunity to personally congratulate the veterans is something that cannot be expressed in words. When you are next to people who went through the war, endured the most severe trials, and rebuilt the country, you especially acutely understand the value of Victory. A low bow to them for everything they have done for our country," noted Boris Vesnin.
