In Russia, the number of citizens who have imposed a self-ban on obtaining loans continues to grow. According to the Unified Credit Bureau, a total of 24.4 million applications have been submitted since the launch of the service. Currently, such a ban is in effect for 20.4 million people. The Kirov region ranks 30th among regions in terms of the number of applications. Just in April, residents of the region submitted more than 10,000 applications for the imposition of a self-ban and about 2,100 for its removal. In total, the self-ban status currently applies to approximately 204.9 thousand people, which accounts for about 18% of the region's population. At the same time, in April, interest in the service slightly decreased across the country. Russians submitted 968.3 thousand applications for the imposition of a self-ban — this is 22.5% less than in March. The number of applications for lifting the ban also decreased. Most often, the self-ban is imposed by people who already have existing loans — more than half of them. However, almost a third of users have never taken out loans before, and about 20% have already fully repaid their debts. There is also an increase in the share of elderly users. In April, the number of citizens over 55 who imposed a self-ban increased. At the same time, the largest share still belongs to people aged 35 to 45. The majority of Russians choose a complete ban on loans — it accounts for more than 90% of all applications. The northern regions remain the leaders in the share of residents with a self-ban. For example, in the Murmansk region, every fourth resident has already adopted such a measure.
