The weekends in 2027 have become known.
The press service of the Ministry of Labor of Russia has published a draft calendar of holidays and weekends for the year 2027, prepared by the Ministry of Labor. The document contains proposals for the transfer of weekends that coincide with non-working holidays.
According to the draft, the New Year holidays will last for 11 days — from December 31, 2026, to January 10, 2027. This long break has become possible due to transfers: Saturday, January 2, will be moved to Friday, November 5, and Sunday, January 3, will be moved to Friday, December 31, 2027. Additionally, Saturday, February 20, will be a working day, while Monday, February 22, will be a day off.
As a result, in 2027, we will have holidays:
from December 31, 2026, to January 10, 2027 (11 days);
from February 21 to February 23 (3 days);
from March 6 to March 8 (3 days);
from May 1 to May 3 (3 days);
from May 8 to May 10 (3 days);
from June 12 to June 14 (3 days);
from November 4 to November 7 (4 days);
December 31, 2027 — a separate day off.
The Ministry of Labor reminded about the mechanism of transfers according to the Labor Code: if a day off coincides with a non-working holiday, it is moved to the nearest working day. The exception is days that coincide with the New Year holidays: they can be moved to any other working days during the year.
The draft resolution has not yet been approved and is currently in the stage of public discussion.
