In the Malmyzh District Court, the consideration of a criminal case against a 29-year-old native of Tatarstan has been completed. The man was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person who has been subjected to administrative punishment or has a criminal record).
As established in court, on August 25, 2025, the driver was operating a "Lada Granta" vehicle on the roads of the Malmyzh district. At that time, he exhibited clear signs of intoxication. It later became clear that he had previously been caught for a similar offense.
The state prosecutor from the Malmyzh district insisted on a strict measure. As a result, the court sentenced the defendant to 160 hours of compulsory work and prohibited him from driving any vehicles for a period of two years.
However, the main consequence for the car owner was the confiscation of property. Based on the verdict, the court, agreeing with the prosecutor's position, applied Article 104.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The "Lada Granta" vehicle belonging to the convicted individual was transferred to state ownership.
