No bonfires or barbecues: a special fire safety regime has been introduced in the Kirov region.
The decree, which comes into effect today, introduces temporary bans across the Kirov region. For three weeks, the use of open flames in any form is restricted. This includes the burning of waste, dry grass vegetation, and straw, as well as the lighting of bonfires.
The prohibited activities apply to agricultural lands, populated areas, industrial, energy, and transport facilities. The restrictions also apply to specially protected natural areas.
A separate point addresses cooking. Barbecues and any other devices for cooking food using open flames are now prohibited on forest fund lands and adjacent territories. Additionally, the ban is imposed on plots that adjoin agricultural lands.
The document has already been signed and will take effect upon publication.
