Industrial production in the Kirov region increased by almost 7%.
According to Kirovstat, the Kirov region recorded growth in industrial production from January to March 2026. Compared to the same period in the previous year, 2025, the indicator increased by 6.8%. The main contribution to the growth came from manufacturing industries, where production output increased by 7%. There were also increases in the supply of electricity, gas, and steam by 6.6%, and in water supply and waste disposal by 2.7%. At the same time, there was a decrease in the extraction of mineral resources by 13.1%. Among manufacturing sectors, the most noticeable growth was shown by textile production (threefold), the production of metal products (by 53%), as well as the production of food products, paper, beverages, and transport equipment. At the same time, a decline was recorded in several sectors. The production volumes of medicines, vehicles, furniture, chemical products, clothing, as well as machinery and equipment decreased. In addition, the volume of services for the repair and installation of equipment decreased.
