According to RIA Novosti, the Ministry of Education has approved the recommended dates for summer vacations for Russian schools. According to the information from the agency, the break for students will begin on May 27 and last until August 31.
At the same time, for graduates of the 9th and 11th grades, the end of the school year will depend on the exam schedule — the OGE and the EGE.
As noted by the head of the ministry, Sergey Kravtsov, full-fledged vacations are necessary for students to recover before the new school year. During the summer, school camps and various recreation centers will be available for children. Sports, creative, and educational activities are planned there.
The ministry clarified that the dates are advisory. Schools can make their own final decisions regarding the timing of vacations.
