Russians have given up long-distance trips during the May holidays.
This year, Russians have increasingly opted out of long trips during the May holidays in favor of short travels close to home. The reason is the limited number of days off. Such data is provided by "Lenta.ru" citing a study by the tour operator "Alean."
Among the popular destinations is Kirov. Tourists come here to get acquainted with the region's craft traditions: to attend master classes on Dymkovo toys, products made from kapok, lace, and birch bark. Accommodation in city hotels for three nights will cost approximately from 11,000 rubles for two.
Perm is also popular, where guests visit the local history museum and stroll along the Kama embankment. There, a similar stay costs from 13,800 rubles.
For those who prefer a more tranquil vacation, options are offered in the Tver region — with countryside hotels on the banks of the Volga, saunas, and barbecue areas. However, this format will be more expensive — almost 38,000 rubles for three nights for two. In addition, among the destinations for short trips are the Tula and Kaluga regions, Arkhyz, and Karelia.
