On April 22, specialists from the Rosselkhoznadzor inspected a batch of fresh strawberries weighing 4.4 tons that arrived from Kyrgyzstan in the region. This is the first shipment of foreign berries to the area since the beginning of 2026.
The inspection was conducted jointly with employees of the Kirov branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIKR". Samples were taken from the products and sent for laboratory testing to assess their phytosanitary condition.
As a result of the examination, no quarantine objects were found in the batch. After that, a state phytosanitary control certificate was issued for the strawberries, allowing their sale.
It should be noted that during the same period last year, in 2025, no imported strawberries were received in the region.
