Ticks are already biting: Kirov residents reminded where to seek help

      In the evening and at night, as well as on weekends and holidays, ticks can be removed at the following institutions:

      Kirov City Hospital No. 2 (Novovyatsk, Gagarin St., 2)

      Kirov City Hospital No. 5 (Semashko St., 1)

      Kirov Clinical Hospital No. 7 named after V.I. Yurlova (Krasina St., 56)

      Emergency Medical Hospital (Oktyabrsky Avenue, 47; Sverdlova St., 4)

      Inpatient departments of central district hospitals

      During the day, ticks can be removed at the clinic at your place of residence, at the Traumatology Center clinic on Mendeleeva, 17 (open 24 hours), at the CHUZ "Clinical Hospital 'RZD-Medicine' of Kirov" (from 8:00 to 14:00 – office No. 3 at Azina, 70, at other times – the emergency department of the inpatient facility at Oktyabrsky Avenue, 151), as well as at the "Light" center.

      In case of a bite, specialists advise not to panic, to immediately contact the nearest medical institution, submit the tick for analysis in the laboratory, and if the result is positive, undergo a course of treatment.

      As we mentioned earlier, Kirov region traditionally ranks among the regions with the highest number of tick bite reports — last year alone, residents of the region accounted for more than a quarter of all recorded cases. Specialists predict that the tick season in 2026 will be highly active, especially in the central part of Russia. The reason is the warm winter with abundant snowfall, which did not allow the soil to freeze deeply, contributing to the high survival rate and population of parasites.
