"Buried in water": Kirov residents complain about the flooded Novomakaryevskoye cemetery
In social networks, residents of Kirov are discussing the condition of the Novomakaryevsky cemetery. One user addressed the governor with a complaint: during a fresh burial on April 23, the coffin was buried shallowly — less than a meter, because water constantly stands underground.
"The deceased are buried in water," the woman writes. According to her, there is practically no road to the cemetery, and it is located on former peat bogs, where burial norms are hardly observed.
She added that many crosses have tilted and asked to "fire those who issue permits for burials in such conditions."
Users in the comments supported the complaint. Many believe that officials are indifferent to the condition of the cemetery. There are demands to bring the burial site in order and to punish those responsible for issuing permits for burials in unsuitable places.
Almost simultaneously with the complaints about the Novomakaryevsky cemetery, residents of Zavodskaya began to raise the alarm due to a real communal collapse. Sewage wells are flowing down the slope near the houses, one of which has been spewing foul water for the second month. The flow floods the road, bus stops, and the area near the kindergarten. Residents complain that their comments and photos are being deleted from official public pages and wonder: who and when will start addressing the violations if the authorities prefer not to notice them?
