The Vyatka has risen another 9 centimeters.
According to the data from the hydrological posts of the Central Geophysical Service, there has been a slight rise in the water level in the Vyatka River (from Kirs to Vyatskiye Polyany) over the past 24 hours. Conversely, most small rivers are experiencing a decline.
As of 9:00 AM, the water level in the Vyatka River at Kirov reached 426 cm from the zero post. The increase over the past day was 9 cm.
Flooding has been recorded in the region:
79 residential areas (in Vyatskiye Polyany, Zuevsky, Kotelny, Kilmiz, Kirovo-Chepetsk, Malmyzh, Soviet districts, and in Kirov);
2 low-water bridges (in Kiknur and Opalinsky districts);
14 sections of local roads (in Vyatskiye Polyany, Zuevsky, Kirovo-Chepetsk, Kotelny, Opalinsky, Soviet districts, and in Kirov).
Operational groups from administrations and fire-rescue units are on duty in the flooded areas. Targeted assistance has been organized. The provision of essential services to the population has not been disrupted, and evacuation is not required.
In case of worsening conditions, temporary accommodation points have been prepared, and a set of preventive measures is being implemented.
