Talents of Russia sing about heroes
According to the organizer and ideological inspirer of the festival, State Duma deputy Oleg Valenchuk, the remote song and poetry competition "Faithful Sons of the Fatherland," which this year is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, provides a unique opportunity for talented individuals from across the country to unleash their creative potential.
Not only is the number of talented individuals impressive, but also the geography of the participants – 73 regions of Russia, as well as representatives from near and far abroad. For 7 months, creative teams, poets, composers, and performers have competed for the title of diploma winners. The foundation of the festival movement lies in the main human values – love for the Motherland, for one's family, and respect for the feats of ancestors. These themes resonate in the hearts and creativity of a vast number of people. In total, over 7 months, 222 contestants were awarded the title of "diploma winner."
Among them is Zlata Gnilytskaya from Makeevka (DPR).
– I engage in vocals, participate in competitions, go on stage – and each time I feel how deeply a song can touch the heart, – the girl shared. – But not all songs are about love and joy. There is room in my repertoire for very serious themes. For example, I have always been interested in the theme of war. Not as a scary fairy tale from the past, but as part of our common history that must not be forgotten. I am especially proud of my great-grandfathers. They fought so that we could live, learn, and sing on stage today. Their feat is what gives me the strength to be sincere in my performances.
The song "Ballad about the Boy," dedicated to the events at Nevsky Piglet, earned Zlata the title of diploma winner for March.
The jury, co-chaired by singer-songwriter Sergey Trofimov and poet-songwriter Alexander Shaganov, is currently faced with a difficult choice. In the coming days, they will need to select 15 laureates from the 222 diploma winners of the remote competition.
– The main mission of our remote competition "Greenland" is to make patriotism not just a word from a textbook, but a personal, deeply felt experience, – says Oleg Valenchuk. – We want every participant to feel like part of the great history of the country, so that their creativity becomes the voice of a new generation that knows and remembers its heroes and celebrates their feats.
