The service tracks the balance in real time and analyzes all upcoming regular deductions for the next 30 days. Based on this data, MegaFon calculates the necessary top-up amount — taking into account the subscription fee, paid subscriptions, additional internet packages, and other monthly services. The amount covers all projected expenses for the month ahead and includes a small reserve of 20 rubles. According to Sber, 61% of users occasionally forget to top up their mobile account on time or miss notifications from the operator about a low balance. Meanwhile, the traditional autopayment is not synchronized with the dates of deductions for services; it simply tops up the account by a fixed amount on a pre-set day or when the minimum balance threshold is reached. As a result, the top-up and deduction dates may not coincide, so the subscriber needs to synchronize them manually. Meanwhile, the "Smart Payment" mechanism eliminates erroneous top-ups, and if necessary, the tool can top up the balance several times a month, but will not exceed the limit set by the user. "We see that users are no longer satisfied with classic autopayments — they do not take into account the actual structure of expenses and often do not prevent going into the negative. Therefore, we created a service that works as a full-fledged financial assistant, which means there is no need to manually monitor the balance," noted MegaFon's Commercial Director Dmitry Rudskikh. "Sber's payment strategy is to make financial processes simpler and less noticeable, freeing clients from routine. We strive for complete automation of regular payments: timely and without unnecessary effort from the user. The joint project with MegaFon — 'Smart Autopayment' — demonstrates how partnership enhances the technological effect. The service helps to eliminate minor daily worries, freeing up time for truly important matters. Management of the "Smart Payment" is available in the Sber app. Deductions from the bank card and payment crediting are performed only on the bank's side.
