Residents of Kirov are urged not to scare bears.
As noted by the department, when encountering any wild animal, one should never disturb it, attempt to approach the animal, feed it, pet it, or scare it. To signal your presence to animals while moving through the forest, it is recommended to talk or play music on your phone. This will allow wild animals to leave the area where a person is heading.
In the event of encountering a bear, it is necessary to move away from the location where it was spotted without attracting attention, not turning your back on the animal, and not breaking into a run. Also, one should never scare a bear, hoping that it will leave.
"Spring is the time when wild animals and birds in nature raise their offspring, with moose calves, hare kittens, and many young birds appearing. Remember! You should not touch, attempt to feed, and especially take home recently born wild animals. Even if you do not see the mother animal nearby, it does not mean that it has been abandoned," the ministry reported.
If you find traces of an animal that may pose a danger in a populated area or in close proximity to it, you should report this to the local administration. In the case of encountering such an animal in a populated area, you should report it to the unified duty dispatch service by calling 112.
