Employees of the regional FSB have disrupted the activities of a teenager born in 2008. According to the agency, the young man received a task remotely from curators in Ukraine — for a monetary reward, to disable the equipment of an energy facility located in Kirov.
Recruitment, as established by operatives, took place through channels with advertisements for "quick earnings" in the foreign messenger Telegram. The schoolboy agreed to the offer, but did not manage to carry out his plan.
The FSB emphasizes: Ukrainian special services are actively involving citizens in criminal activities, promising large fees. In reality, the promised money is either not paid or does not exceed 30,000 rubles. At the same time, for the attempt to commit arson, the teenager now faces serious punishment.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region has initiated a criminal case against the minor on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Terrorist Act). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 10 to 20 years.
