Pobedilovo Airport has increased the number of flights.

      The number of takeoff and landing operations increased by 32% compared to the same period last year — to 480 flights, reported the regional transport ministry. Meanwhile, passenger traffic "remained at a stable level": just over 85,000 people. Acting Transport Minister Artyom Drachkov linked the growth in operational activity to the efficiency of the airport's operations. At the same time, Governor Alexander Sokolov instructed the transport ministry to maintain existing routes and explore opportunities to expand flight geography. In 2025, the passenger traffic at Kirov's "Pobedilovo" airport amounted to 480,494 people. The previous year, there were 490,175 passengers. Additionally, against the backdrop of the runway repair at Pobedilovo airport, it was decided to compensate for the transport load with railways. Additional trains to Moscow and St. Petersburg are being launched for the residents of Kirov.
