In Kirovo-Chepetsk, the bridge to Karin-Torf will be closed earlier than announced.
In Kirovo-Chepetsk, the floating bridge to the Karintorf microdistrict will be closed ahead of schedule. Traffic on the crossing will be halted today, April 1, at 3:00 PM. This was reported by the press service of the Kirovo-Chepetsk administration.
Initially, the closure was planned for April 2, but due to a sharp rise in water levels, it was decided to start the work earlier. The contractor will begin dismantling the bridge and preparing the structure for flooding. Prohibitory signs will be installed at the approaches to the river.
During the dismantling of the crossing in Karintorf, security measures will be strengthened. Firefighting equipment has been sent to the microdistrict, and round-the-clock rescue services have been organized. In emergencies, assistance will be delivered via the narrow-gauge railway. Medical assistance will be provided on-site: a stock of medicines has been created at the medical station, and an ambulance team and paramedic will be sent there during the flooding period.
Local stores have already formed stocks of long-lasting food products, while perishable goods will be delivered by rail. Passenger transport services will also continue to operate.
