It has been established that in 2023, over 1.4 million rubles were deposited into the bank accounts of a law enforcement officer. However, neither he nor his spouse could confirm the legality of the origin of these funds. The prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit demanding that the money be confiscated for the benefit of the state, and also succeeded in freezing the accounts and property of the defendants.
During the proceedings, it was revealed that, despite having grounds for the police officer's dismissal due to loss of trust, he left the service voluntarily. The prosecutor's office deemed this inconsistent with the law and filed a lawsuit to change the wording of the dismissal.
As reported by the prosecutor's office of the Kirov region, the court fully satisfied the demands of the supervisory authority. Now the official reason for the dismissal of the former police officer is loss of trust. The lawsuit for the confiscation of 1.4 million rubles for the benefit of the state remains under the control of the prosecutor's office.
