Patients in Kirov will begin to be diagnosed remotely.
It concerns monitoring patients outside medical facilities using telemedicine technologies. According to the regional Ministry of Health, in 2026 medical organizations will also introduce a remote "doctor–patient" consultation format.
To implement the project, blood pressure monitors and glucometers, as well as software for data transmission, have been purchased with funds from the regional budget. After an in-person appointment and diagnosis, the treating physician will be able to assign the patient to remote monitoring. A special application is installed on the patient's smartphone that reminds them to take measurements and transmits the readings to the medical information system.
The collected data are automatically entered into the outpatient record and processed by the Webiomed clinical decision support system. The doctor, in turn, can monitor changes in the measurements, schedule telemedicine consultations, or take additional measures if abnormalities occur.
To launch the system in the region, training is planned for physicians on working with the new telemedicine tools. The project is being implemented within the framework of the national project "Long and Active Life" and the federal digital platform "Health".
