"The heating is smoking like this": a pipe burst on Transportny Proezd in Kirov.

      A Newsler.ru reader sent the newsroom a video from 32 Transportny Proezd. The footage shows thick steam rising from beneath the ground. According to the author, the accident occurred when the city's heating was turned on, but, he claims, the situation has not changed since.

      "The heating is smoking like this. They want to leave the city cold. They're waiting for the pipe to burst completely. No one is taking any measures to fix it," a Kirov resident complains. Judging by the video, the leak persists and the heat is literally escaping into the air.       Earlier, Kirov was named among nine Russian cities where the Ministry of Energy recorded increased risks of accidents during the heating season. According to the ministry, this was caused by significant deterioration of the heating networks and insufficient readiness of communal infrastructure for winter. The regional center was placed on the ministry's list of cities of particular concern alongside Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Tolyatti and several others.
