In the Sunsky District the prosecutor's office secured the repair of a problematic road.

      As reported by the supervisory authority, the inspection was conducted at the instruction of the Prosecutor of the Kirov Region, Yury Ryvaev, following appeals from residents received during a personal reception. Citizens pointed to numerous defects in the carriageway of the public road in the urban-type settlement of Suna — on the Mira–Oktyabrskaya section. The condition of the road, in the applicants’ opinion, posed a threat to drivers and pedestrians.

      During the inspection the prosecutor’s office established violations of the requirements of road traffic safety legislation and submitted a representation to the head of the urban settlement. After reviewing the prosecutor’s response, the local self-government bodies prepared cost estimate documentation for carrying out repair work.

      Road repairs are planned to be carried out in the spring–summer period of the current year. The complete rectification of the identified violations remains under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
