A pipeline accident in Verkhoshizhemye has disrupted the repair schedule.

Emergency repair work on the water supply continues in the settlement of Verkhoshizhemye. According to the district administration, on January 22 they were unable to fix a leak on Pionerskaya Street.

Initially, specialists assumed the problem was in the service line to house No. 20. However, after excavating the ground it turned out that water was leaking from a main pipeline that runs beneath the roadway. They could not begin repairing the road immediately — the asphalt was deeply frozen.

Work resumed on the morning of January 23 after necessary spare parts were delivered and heavier equipment was brought in. To prevent the pipes from freezing completely, they had to drain the water from the main pipelines in the southern part of the settlement. Refilling the system before repairs are completed is impossible — it could lead to even more serious consequences.
