Kirov bailiffs confiscated SUVs from drunk drivers and sent them to the SVO zone.

As reported by the regional office of the Federal Bailiff Service, a Chevrolet Niva was confiscated from a 44-year-old local resident in Kumensky District. The man was found guilty of driving under the influence despite having a previously imposed administrative penalty. The court sentenced him to 120 hours of mandatory community service, deprived him of his driving rights for two years and ordered the vehicle confiscated.

A similar decision was made in Podosinovsky District. There, a Chevrolet Niva was also seized from a 49-year-old resident. Under the court's ruling the man was sentenced to 160 hours of mandatory community service and deprived of the right to drive for one and a half years.

The Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service for Kirov Oblast noted that after confiscation the four-wheel-drive vehicles were offered to the Russian Ministry of Defense for use in the area of the special military operation. As a result, both vehicles were handed over to representatives of a military unit from the Luhansk People’s Republic, which is participating in the special military operation.
