Trolleybus No. 4 resumed service in Kirov.

      As the administration of the city of Kirov reported, the temporary suspension of trolleybus No. 4 service was caused by the failure of a high-voltage cable that supplies the first substation. The cable had been laid underground.

      During the past week specialists located the point of damage and began repair work. As of today, the power supply to the trolleybus lines has been fully restored, which made it possible to resume trolleybus service on route No. 4.

      In addition, trolleybuses No. 7 have returned to normal operation. Earlier, while the defect was being fixed, they followed an altered route.

      Recall that the Kirov administration announced the suspension of trolleybus No. 4 service on January 7, 2026. At that time the mayor’s office explained that the route was temporarily suspended due to repairs to the equipment that supplies electricity to the contact network. For the same reason, trolleybuses No. 7 were turning around at the railway station.
