      According to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region, the Zuevsky Interdistrict Investigative Department has opened a criminal case against a 45-year-old woman under item “g” of part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Torture”). According to the investigation, from June to December 2025 she regularly struck her 11-year-old son with her hands and various objects, causing him physical pain. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and are gathering the evidentiary base. As part of the preliminary investigation, a legal assessment will also be made of the minor’s living and upbringing conditions. The investigation is ongoing.
