More than 2,000 passengers rode on retro trains in Kirov during the New Year holidays.
The retro trains operated from December 24 to January 11. The final trip on January 11 was made by the fairy-tale train "Journey to Christmas" on the Kirov — Slobodskoy — Kirov route. In total this train made 14 trips and carried more than 1,800 passengers, almost half of whom were children.
In addition, from December 24 to 26 special trips took place on the Kirov — Kirov-Kotlassky — Matantsy — Lyangasovo — Kirov route. These trips were organized for children with disabilities, Young Army cadets, athletes and schoolchildren who had achieved academic success. Over the three trips the retro train carried nearly 500 children.
