A drug addict was caught at the train station in Kirov during the New Year holidays.
In Kirov and Kirov Oblast over the New Year holidays transport police officers identified more than 80 administrative offenses. In total, 88 administrative reports were drawn up in the area served by the Kirov Linear Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Transport.
According to the department’s press service, 16 individuals were held administratively liable for drinking alcohol on long‑distance trains and at railway infrastructure facilities. Another 19 passengers violated the smoking ban, and 21 people crossed the railway tracks at undesignated places.
In addition, police drew up nine reports under Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (“Petty hooliganism”) and 21 reports under Article 20.21 (“Appearing in public places while intoxicated”).
Also on January 4, during a patrol at Kirov railway station, officers’ attention was drawn to a man who was acting agitatedly, speaking loudly and disturbing passengers in the waiting hall. The offender was a 39‑year‑old native of Omsk Oblast. He was taken to the duty station for the drawing up of an administrative report.
During a personal search, officers found and seized a plastic bag containing a plant‑based substance. An examination established that the seized substance was a narcotic — marijuana weighing 39.03 grams. A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
