The price of a commuter train ticket from Kirov to Kirovo-Chepetsk has risen to 179 rubles.
A new fare system for commuter trains has come into effect in the region. The ticket price is now calculated based on the number of fare zones a passenger crosses during the journey.
The Kirov–Kirovo-Chepetsk route has seen the largest price increase. If last year the ticket cost 163 rubles, now the trip will cost 179 rubles — 16 rubles more. The fare from Sovetskaya station in Novovyatsk to Kirov has also increased. The price rose from 34 to 37 rubles.
Earlier we wrote that under the new rules a trip within one fare zone would cost 37 rubles, so a trip across five zones, as on the Kirov–Kirovo-Chepetsk route, now costs 179 rubles.
