In Kirov, a man with a disability was provided housing after an inspection by the prosecutor's office.

      The Prosecutor's Office of the Pervomaisky District of Kirov conducted an inspection following a complaint from a disabled person who reported a violation of his housing rights. It was established that the man has been disabled since childhood and was registered as needing housing as early as 2012.

      Despite this, the city authorities for a long time failed to take measures to provide him with an apartment. Before turning to the prosecutor's office he was forced to live in a single apartment with his parents, sister and niece.

      To protect the applicant's rights, the prosecutor's office went to court seeking to oblige the city administration to provide him with decent housing on a priority basis. The court upheld the position of the supervisory authority. As a result, the man received a separate, properly equipped apartment.
