Russians revealed what annoys them most before the New Year.
According to a survey, Russians frankly admitted: the holiday hustle and bustle sometimes drives them up the wall. Most often people are annoyed by preparing the New Year’s dinner — this duty is disliked by 16% of women and 7% of men, that is roughly one in nine. Cleaning and endless dishes drive every eleventh person crazy (12% of women and 7% of men), and grocery shopping — because of long lines and crowds — annoys 8% of respondents. The same share dislike searching for gifts: men suffer here more often than women (10% versus 4%). Other factors include the general fuss, expenses, office parties, obligatory greetings to superiors, December work crunches and even the need to decorate the Christmas tree. Such people account for only about 1%. But there are optimists: nearly four in ten Russians said the pre‑New Year fuss does not spoil their mood at all — they said nothing annoys them.
