Year of the Horse: Far's Story and the Choice That Determines the Path
Far ended up in a situation that today would correctly be called troubled.
Accumulated trauma — physical and behavioral — is not always immediately visible. It shows itself later: in tension, in the reaction to a person, in how the body "remembers" the past. That is exactly what we saw after his move to a new stable.
The process of transferring the horse was not simple. It took place amid conflict and required significant organizational effort. At that moment words were spoken to me that people usually say when they want to have the last word — a wish of harm.
I answered differently. I said, "I wish you all the best."
It was not a gesture of magnanimity and not an attempt to close the matter prettily. It was a choice — not to pass someone else's aggression further down the chain.
When the path begins with recovery
After the move it became clear: Far did not need a "result." He needed a path.
He underwent comprehensive examinations, moved to another stable, received systematic care, individual training, and attention to problems that had previously been simply overlooked. What had once been called "character" turned out to be injury — neglected, accumulated, but amenable to recovery. Today Far is regaining weight, working, and gradually returning to movement. Not through pressure and not through acceleration. Through rhythm, repetition, and trust. Injuries are not healed by commands. They are healed by time and motion.
Why this story is about 2026
2026 in the Eastern calendar is the Year of the Horse. It is most often described as a year of speed, energy, and a surge. But that is an oversimplification. In the traditional sense the Horse is a symbol of traction and distance. It goes for a long time. It carries a load. It continues the journey even when no spectacular result is expected of it.
Far's story fits that logic remarkably well. He became important not because he began to "be useful," but because he stopped being measured by usefulness. He was not forced to meet expectations — he was given the opportunity to recover.
This is exactly what 2026 will demand — not speed, but resilience. Not heroics, but the ability to keep going after injury.
The choice that remains
Far's story is not about victory and not about a miracle. It is about a choice made in a moment of conflict: to continue the destruction or to step out of it.
In 2024 I chose to wish well — not because it is customary, but because otherwise the path does not begin. In 2026, the Year of the Horse, that choice will become a mass demand: less pressure, more recovery; fewer surges, more steady progress.
Far goes on. Slowly. Genuinely. And this, perhaps, is the most accurate symbol of the coming year.

Year of the Horse: Far's Story and the Choice That Determines the Path
My story with Fara began in 2024 — long before talks about 2026, the Year of the Horse, became part of forecasts and analysis. Back then it didn't look like a symbol and certainly not like a "beautiful story." It was a decision — complicated, contentious, and risky.
