Around 12,000 residents of the region may be left without power before the New Year.
The Kirov branch of Energosbyt Plus reported that in December notifications about possible power supply restrictions were received by around 12,000 residents of Kirov and Kirov Oblast. The reason is unpaid electricity bills.
The company reminded that if payment is incomplete, the resource-supplying organization has the right to introduce restrictions or completely stop the supply of electricity. Consumers are notified in advance of such measures.
Also, from December 27, 2025, the fee for restricting and restoring power supply for debtors increased from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles. The corresponding changes are enshrined in Government Decree of the Russian Federation No. 442 “On the Functioning of Retail Electricity Markets.”
To avoid being left without electricity during the holidays, consumers need to settle their debts by December 29. Otherwise, in addition to repaying the debt, they will have to pay 5,000 rubles for the restriction or subsequent restoration of power supply.
In addition, Energosbyt Plus reminded of the “Into the New Year — Debt Free!” promotion, under which customers can have late fees written off provided current charges and outstanding debts are paid by December 31. The promotion does not apply to late fees confirmed by a court decision.
