Kirov "slimmed down" by 50,000 cubic meters of snow

      Since the start of the winter season, almost 50,000 cubic meters of snow have been removed from Kirov, JSC "Gordormoststroy" reported. Cleaning is being carried out on both major thoroughfares and secondary streets to prevent the roadways from narrowing. Bulldozers operate at snow disposal sites to redistribute and move large amounts of snow. The main removal takes place at night, when there are fewer cars on the roads, to avoid creating traffic jams. A patrol clearing operation is currently in place in the city: three convoys of specialized vehicles have been formed, each running its routes twice per shift. Separate equipment is assigned to the Kirov–Russkoye road. Due to the warming, rock salt is again being used to treat the roadways. Road and sidewalk clearing in Kirov is carried out around the clock, and work schedules are adjusted according to weather conditions.
