Counterfeit clothing worth 10 million seized in Kirov.

      Officers of the Economic Security and Anti‑Corruption Department (ESAC) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov Region, with the support of the Rosgvardiya SOBR, put an end to the activities of two city residents — an individual entrepreneur and the manager of a chain of clothing and footwear stores. From March to December 2025 the women acted as part of a group by prior agreement: they purchased, transported, stored and sold unmarked goods through three stores operating under the same name. As a result of inspections, 4.7 thousand items of clothing and footwear showing signs of counterfeiting were seized from retail outlets. According to preliminary estimates, the seized goods are worth about 10 million rubles. The actions of the suspects fall under Part 1.1 of Article 171.1 (production, acquisition, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products without marking and/or the application of information required by the legislation of the Russian Federation, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement) and Part 2 of Article 180 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal use of means of individualization of goods committed by a group of persons by prior agreement). An examination of the seized goods is currently underway, and a decision on whether to initiate a criminal case is being made.
