      The project launched in February 2025. It was aimed at supporting creatively active veterans and preserving the traditions of the decorative and applied arts of the Vyatka region. Over the course of the year, qualifying rounds were held in the municipalities, bringing together more than 300 participants. The project's events were attended by over 2,000 people.

      The final in Kirov gathered about 100 of the best artisans. They presented works in weaving, embroidery, woodcarving, basketry, painting, and doll-making. Each piece is not only a display of skill but also a careful preservation of the region's cultural heritage. All of the contest laureates were awarded letters of appreciation from the State Duma deputy and commemorative gifts.

      In his welcoming remarks to the Vyatka artisans, Rakhim Azimov noted:

      "I thank each of you for your loyalty to traditions, for your skill and dedication. You create not just beautiful things — you lovingly pass on your love for your native land through each work. This is priceless. Projects like this are a reminder to all of us of the true value of human labor and genuine talent."

      Irina Shubina, Chair of the Kirov Regional Veterans' Organization, reminded that the idea for the contest belonged to the participants themselves:

      "We wanted not only to show that the Vyatka region is rich in talent and natural-born artisans, but also to share our experience with the youth — our children and grandchildren. Thanks to the support of Rakhim Azimov, all our initiatives come to life. His attention is an expression of care that helps members of the older generation live actively and with interest."

      At the close of the event, a festive concert was held for the participants. The State Duma deputy presented New Year gifts to veterans' organizations in his electoral district.
