“The Fate of Russia Is in Your Hands” – childlike sincerity and a creative outlook

The "Greenlandia" festival, chaired by State Duma deputy Oleg Valenchuk, has long ceased to be merely a musical event. It has become a year-round, large-scale project aimed at the patriotic education of youth.

This season "Greenlandia" includes a children's media contest dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. Children possess a unique ability to perceive the world without prejudice or distortion. Their sincerity and spontaneity are reflected in the public-service videos created as part of the contest. These short films touch viewers' hearts, conveying the simplicity and purity of feelings.

One of the most common themes in children's videos is love for the family. Children talk about their parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, emphasizing the importance of support and care for loved ones. These stories remind adults of the significance of family ties and the need to show care in everyday life.

Thus, the kids from the animation studio "Make-a-Cartoon" in the Leningrad Region tell a touching story in the form of children's drawings about meeting a father who returned from the special military operation.

In addition, many videos are devoted to declarations of love for one's hometown. Children share stories about their towns and villages, showing their beauty and uniqueness. This is what the children from the Education Center "Lapland" in the Murmansk Region did. With childlike spontaneity they told stories of polar days and nights, the harsh climate and the warm hearts of Murmansk's residents.

"Children's videos are often filled not only with sincerity but with deep reflections on honesty, kindness and justice," notes Oleg Valenchuk. "Through play scenes or animation, the children emphasize the importance of actions performed from a pure heart. These simple truths help adults remember the real values that are sometimes forgotten in the hustle and bustle of everyday life."

As a reminder, contest entries are accepted until March 15, 2026, by email ([email protected]) and in the VKontakte group.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
