The residents of the village of Lomovskaya complained to the president about the buses.
From January 1 in Kirov, routes No. 26 and No. 90 will change: they will no longer run to CHP‑5, and the terminal stop will be in the Kurachkiny sloboda, which is almost 3 km farther. To prevent people from being forced to walk, the administration promises free transfers — a bus will run every half hour from CHP‑5 to the sloboda and back, and there passengers can transfer to the main routes.
However, residents doubt the effectiveness of the plan. According to locals, the carrier has many shortcomings: buses do not always go out on schedule in full, timetables are disrupted, and when contacting the dispatch office delays are explained by drivers’ illnesses or vehicle breakdowns. The stop is used by residents of Lomovskaya, gardeners, schoolchildren and enterprise employees. People fear they will have to stand in the cold for a long time waiting for the bus.
Residents appealed to the president’s direct line, and the regional branch of the People’s Front has taken the situation under control. “At this stage we cannot force the city administration to change its mind. But together with the people we will monitor the timetable of the transfer route and record how long residents stand at the stop. If the concerns are confirmed, we will involve supervisory authorities,” said the head of the ONF in the Kirov region, Valeria Cheremisinova.
The situation with transport in the village of Lomovskaya has left much to be desired for a long time. In April 2025 the Kirov administration moved the No. 67 stop more than one and a half kilometers from the village, forcing schoolchildren to walk to the bus along dangerous routes, including past the cemetery. After intervention by the People’s Front and checks by the prosecutor’s office in June, the terminal stop was returned to “Metallobaza,” which made the journey easier for children and pensioners.
