According to the head of Kirov's administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, the contracting company is beginning the installation of slides on Theatre Square. The structural elements were delivered to the city in disassembled form last night. After unloading is complete, workers will begin assembly and installation.
According to the approved concept for the New Year decorations, two slides 2.7 and 2.2 meters high are to be installed on the square. Because such structures are classified as attractions, they are subject to heightened safety requirements. That is why all components were manufactured at a specialized facility holding the necessary certificates.
The administration expects both slides to be fully assembled by Friday, after which residents and visitors will be able to use them.
