The hunting season for game birds has ended in Kirov Oblast.
As the regional Ministry of Ecology reminded, the birds are heading off on a well‑deserved "vacation," however the hunting season is not yet over — the hunting of ungulates, bears, fur‑bearing animals and other game continues. The agency emphasizes that the timing allows animals to be protected at the most vulnerable stages of their life cycle and helps preserve populations for future generations. In addition, hunters are reminded of an important formality — reporting. Twenty days are allotted for providing information on kills. These data are necessary for specialists to assess population status and analyze the volumes of animals taken. Failure to submit reports on time can have serious consequences: a hunter may be barred from obtaining permits for an entire year.
