Working mothers in Kirov said what support they expect from employers.
SuperJob’s analytical service surveyed employed women in Kirov who are raising preschool-aged children and found out what kinds of support they expect from employers. As the study showed, modern working mothers primarily need the ability to manage their working time more freely.
The most requested support measure was a flexible schedule — cited by 16% of respondents. In second place was financial assistance: additional payments and material support, which 11% of working mothers considered necessary. The same share of women would like the option to switch to remote or hybrid work at least occasionally, for example when their child is sick.
An extra day off per week or several additional days of annual leave would help 10% of those surveyed. A shortened working day would be convenient for 8% of women. Another 5% of mothers dream of companies organizing holiday events, workshops and other activities for children.
Four percent of respondents said there is a need for more humane treatment from employers, including understanding that they need to take sick leave to care for a sick child. Three percent of women would like employers to give New Year’s gifts to their children, and 2% would like vouchers for camps or recreation centers. At the same time, 18% of women in Kirov are fully satisfied with the current level of support.
