A historical and legal exhibition opened at Vyatka State University.
The ceremonial opening of the exhibition took place on November 27 at the premises of the Coordination Center of Vyatka State University (VyatSU). The event was attended by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov Region and chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Military-Historical Society in the Kirov Region, Roman Beresnev; First Deputy Minister of Education of the Kirov Region, Olga Kazarinova; head of the Federal State Institution of Additional Professional Education — Kirov IPKR of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, Colonel of the Internal Service Maxim Vorvul; acting deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service for the Kirov Region — deputy chief bailiff of the Kirov Region, Captain of the Internal Service Evgeny Shvetsov; president of the Bar Chamber of the Kirov Region, Marina Kopyrina; vice-president of the Kirov Regional Notarial Chamber, Anna Korchemkina; head of the Office of the Ministry of Justice of Russia for the Kirov Region, Olga Bychkova; as well as staff and students of VyatSU.
The historical and legal exhibition, consisting of eight thematic sections, reveals the centuries-long history of resisting the unfriendly influence of foreign states, from the Time of Troubles to the present day.
"One of Russia's traditional spiritual and moral values is the preservation of historical truth. For the first time on a single platform we are presenting facts in historical retrospect that testify to the anti-Russian orientation of the policy of the collective West," Olga Bychkova said in her welcoming remarks.
The exhibition features dozens of reproductions of original documents, photographs and graphic images that reflect this unflattering side of the history of international relations involving Russia.
VyatSU Rector Valentin Pugach noted the particular relevance of the exhibition for the younger generation in forming their firm civic stance, a sense of patriotism and pride in the Motherland:
"Huge thanks to the organizers for such an important tool of educational and upbringing work! We will present the exhibition in various buildings of Vyatka State University so that as many students and staff as possible can become acquainted with its materials, reflect on them, analyze contemporary challenges and draw lessons from the past," emphasized Valentin Nikolaevich.
Each panel of the exhibition is equipped with an audio guide that provides a comprehensive understanding of how, over many centuries, Russia has resisted hostile intentions.
"The exhibition vividly demonstrates how methods of pressure on Russia, despite the passage of eras, remain unchanged. At the VyatSU venue we have brought together landmark events so that historical truth will be permanently imprinted in your memory," Roman Beresnev noted.
After the presentation, Head of the Department of History and Political Science at VyatSU Andrey Mashkovtsev conducted an introductory tour for the exhibition participants.
The historical and legal exhibition "Protection of the Sovereignty of the Russian State. History and Modernity" will run until December 31, 2025. We invite everyone to attend the free tour at Vyatka State University. Tour reservations are made via email: [email protected].
