"Taught discipline" by hitting students in the face with notebooks: in Kirov, a teacher was reprimanded for humiliating pupils.

In the Kirov Region, a schoolteacher was reprimanded after parents complained about her rude behavior during a lesson. Information about this appeared on the page of the Children's Rights Commissioner for the Kirov Region, Vladimir Shabardin, on VKontakte. According to the parents, the teacher shouted at the students, humiliated them and even threw notebooks at their faces. This is how the teacher decided to punish the children for poor grades. The parents contacted the school principal; however, according to them, the responsibility was then shifted entirely onto the students. After that the complaint was submitted to the Children's Rights Commissioner, who sent an inquiry to the Ministry of Education. As a result of the investigation, violations of pedagogical ethics were confirmed. The school principal issued the teacher a disciplinary reprimand and recommended that her methods be reviewed and oversight of other teachers' conduct be strengthened.
