The Federation Council approved raising the minimum wage to 27,000 rubles.
At today's session the Federation Council approved raising the minimum wage to 27,093 rubles per month, effective January 1, 2026, Interfax reports.
Currently the minimum wage (MROT) in Russia is 22,440 rubles. It is planned to be increased by 20.7% in 2026. Corresponding amendments have been introduced to the law "On the Minimum Wage."
By 2030 the authorities want to increase the MROT to more than double its 2023 level. It will reach about 35,000 rubles per month.
