Kirov Oblast ranked 21st among promising regions for employment.

Analysts at a recruiting platform have published the latest ranking of Russian regions by employment prospects. The study evaluates a set of key labor market parameters: the median offered salary, its ratio to the subsistence minimum, the unemployment rate, competition among job seekers, and the share of those looking for work outside their home region.

Kirov Oblast took 21st place with 64.1 points. According to analysts, the region demonstrates a harmonious combination of key indicators. The median offered salary in the third quarter was 68.6 thousand rubles, with a subsistence minimum of 15.8 thousand rubles. The unemployment rate remains low — 1.7% — while competition in the labor market is moderate: 4.9 resumes per vacancy.

At the same time, only 5.7% of Kirov job seekers are considering employment in other regions, which, according to the platform, indicates a sufficient number of relevant vacancies within the oblast.

The top three in the ranking were Tatarstan, Zabaykalsky Krai, and Amur Oblast. The high positions of these regions are due not so much to top salaries as to their combination with a low cost of living, stability, and low competition in the labor market.

Moscow and Saint Petersburg placed 31st and 23rd respectively. Despite offering the highest salaries in the country, the capitals were outperformed by several regions because of higher competition and the cost of living.

"Today job seekers are increasingly paying attention not only to income level but to how much remains after mandatory expenses, how stable the job is, and whether there is confidence in the future," explained Maria Ignatova, Director of Research at hh.ru. According to her, the leading regions offer a stable and balanced environment, which makes them attractive for long-term employment.
