      An incident occurred on May 7, 2025, near a residential building on Stroiteley Street in the town of Belaya Kholunitsa. Due to the pet being kept without proper supervision, the dog attacked a child and bit him on the leg. An inspection by the regional veterinary authority confirmed that the animal’s owner had violated the rules for keeping animals. She was held administratively liable under Article 8.52 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation and fined 5,000 rubles for allowing the dog to be in a public area unattended. The prosecutor’s office filed a claim in the court at the victim family’s place of residence seeking compensation for non-pecuniary damage. The court granted the supervisory authority’s claims and ordered the dog’s owner to pay the child 20,000 rubles. Enforcement of the decision is under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
