A man from Kirov owed more than 10 million on a loan and concealed his income.

An enforcement proceeding is being handled by the Kirov bailiffs against a local resident who owes a creditor more than 10 million rubles. According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Federal Bailiff Service for the Kirov Region, the man refused to repay the debt voluntarily, stating his disagreement with the court decision, but he did not appeal it.

The enforcement officer warned the debtor in writing of the obligation to report his place of employment, bank accounts, and any change of residence, as well as of the criminal liability for evading repayment of a large debt.

Despite the warning, the man, although he had income from employment, did not inform the bailiff of this and made no attempts to repay the debt. During a preliminary investigation it was established that he deliberately concealed information about his employment, salary, and the opening of new accounts, which allowed him to hide more than 3 million rubles in income.

As a result of the investigation, a criminal case has been opened against the Kirov resident under Article 177 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (malicious evasion of repaying creditor indebtedness).
